Baseball Clinic at New Life
The New Life Center is excited about an opportunity to host a Demand-Command Baseball Camp in mid to late December of 2010 for all age groups. This camp consisting of pitching and hitting is conducted by a Major Leaguer Player and Coach... Zach McClellan (Colorado Rockies pitcher) and A.C. Cockrell (Seattle Mariners hitting coach). Players will participate in a two hour instructional session divided into appropriate age groups and will involve live pitching and hitting.
- Zach McClellan is originally from Toledo Ohio where he went to school at St. Francis de Sales. After graduating high school, Zach played baseball at Indiana University and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 5th round and made his Major League debut playing for the Colorado Rockies in 2007.
-
Alan “A.C.” Cockrell is a former Major League outfielder and graduate and All-American outfielder of the University of Tennessee. Drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1984, A.C. made his Major League debut for the Colorado Rockies in 1996. He has been a hitting coach for the Triple A Colorado Springs, Colorado Rockies, and most recently, the Seattle Mariners.
The cost is $100.00 which also includes a Nike dri-fit Camp T-Shirt. Each session is capped at 20 kids per session to ensure quality instruction from Coach McClellan and Cockrell.
In order to commit to the camp and schedule times that include travel plans for the instructors, we need your response and a $25.00 refundable deposit to secure a place for your son or daughter, by Friday August 27, 2010.
If you have any questions about the camp you can call or email Troy Weidman or Dean DeAngelis.
